Blogmas Day 5: Christmas Decorations

Hot chocolate
Harry Potter Christmas tree

Something I enjoy seeing is people decorate their houses with Christmas decorations or seeing the trees go up. Nothing makes me feel more Christmassy than seeing the tree light up in the morning when it is completely dark outside.

Advent:

For our Advent calendars this year as we both love white chocolate we decided to have milkybar. As an extra present, my partner got me the Harry Potter pop-up advent calendar which is of the Christmas tree in the great hall.

Christmas Decorations for next year:

Next year I am looking forward to Theo having his own advent calendar and I’d also like to wrap up books for each night to read to him which we keep and read every year. For now, we are enjoying different Christmas books each day.

Christmas Decoration Bedding:

Christmas bedding this year we went with Asda, we couldn’t resist the candy cane sheet and the reversible duvet with the cats chasing the lights makes me smile each time I see it. Our stockings are from last year from B&M I love how soft they are and that they are penguins.

Christmas Tree:

Putting the Christmas tree up early has made a big difference to me I feel like I can appreciate it for longer than just putting it up for a week. We also had cream colour lights for the tree when I was growing up but I’ve always loved blue lights and my son has utterly enjoyed them too.

Our tree I’m super proud of, it may be half falling down due to the cats sitting in it but it feels homely especially as we are putting the decoration my son picked out on the tree. My partner also surprised me with a mini tree from Tesco which I’m keeping in the kitchen.

These are my main Christmas decorations I might put some lights up on the banister but otherwise, I think we’re done for this Christmas! Happy Holidays everyone.
