Blogmas Day 6: Christmas Photoshoot

Polaroid pictures of christmas tree and baby

Today we just decided to have some fun together and I grabbed anything that he could hold or play with whilst I took some photos of him. I’ve had this camera since 2015 and I still love it, the camera is the Instax mini 8. A Christmas photoshoot I something I’ve decided to start as a family tradition.

For our photoshoot I used his reindeer onesie from Primark, it’s incredibly soft and even had hand covers. I then placed Theo by the tree and waited to see what he’d do. He immediately started exploring as that area is normally cut off from him so he doesn’t break the bauble.

Props we used:

  • Bauble
  • Train
  • Stocking
  • Presents

We did several different things like holding the non-breakable baubles to playing with the train that goes around the tree. He really enjoyed doing it with me and he actually ended up with hiccups from laughing too much!

A Christmas photo shoot is a lovely way to bond with baby and to have some silly fun together – We all know this holiday can be stressful so it was the perfect way to unwind.

I’d love to do another photoshoot with the three of us and I think I will set up my digital camera with my stand to do so later in the month. I’m all about keepsakes as it’s his first Christmas and I think he’ll love looking back on the photos I’ve taken with his homemade ornaments with fondness.
