Blogmas Day 18: Christmas Cleaning

Astonish spray

Christmas cleaning-The only way to explain it is that it is similar to when you want to come back from holiday to a clean home. We don’t know why we do it but always a few days before Christmas I clean out the oven and get twitchy to turn the house on it’s head cleaning.

Turn on that Christmas playlist get your candles lit and dance your way through the house cleaning as you go. I love the feeling of a clean house and the idea of relaxing on Christmas day won’t become reality unless I complete this list!

So far I’ve been trying to cross off two things on my list in between my baby boys’ nap time. Hoovering he doesn’t mind as he loves to chase it around the house.

My Christmas Cleaning list I’m hoping will shrink as we get closer to Christmas, however here is my list—some items I can’t do until Christmas Eve.

Kitchen

  • Clean the oven
  • Clean out and wipe down the cupboards
  • washing up done and away
  • Baby bottle station is ready

Whole house

  • Clean the windows and the sills
  • Clean all the doors and handles
  • Hoover and mop
  • Clean banisters
  • Mirrors and shelves

Bathroom

  • Mirror
  • Bath/Shower
  • Tiles
  • Toilet and Sink

Favourite Cleaning products so far:

Astonish Berry-This is mainly what we’ve been using in the kitchen, it leaves the counters and cooker so clean and smells like a Christmas candle to me.

Zoflora-Cranberry and Orange: I think this is what Santa’s Grotto would smell like. Two of my favourite smells and Zoflora will never let you down.

Flash Wild Berry: Oh my goodness me the smell from this product is insane, I can smell it hours after use which is fantastic. I been using it in my bathroom to do the sink etc and it has got me excited to clean.

Let me know what are your favourite cleaning products at the moment or what makes it easier for you to get cleaning.
