Today we stayed in and did the last-minute bits of getting ready, I love to dress up for Christmas so I’ve had my hair coloured and I’ve found some false nails to put on. I don’t bother getting my nails done as I want to rip them off after two days as I like having quite short nails.
For Christmas do you like to get dressed up or do you prefer to be cosy or in pj’s? My family normally dresses up but after dinner, I tend to be in something comfy after eating so much.
After lunch we decided to do a photo shoot and my partner dressed up as Santa and we took some family photos. I used my Nikon camera this time and the tripod so I could set it on a timer and we could have photos of all of us.
Having a photo shoot was a perfect way to burn off any Christmas stress!
I’ve enjoyed getting my cameras out this month and plan to do it more often, I take photos all the time on my phone but it feels different when you use an actual camera or a Polaroid.
I’m going to create a Christmas album for my son and when he is old enough I’ll be able to give it to him and show him all the memories we made and what we did for his first Christmas.
I think when he is older I’ll introduce props and backdrops so we can also do outfit changes but as his attention span is still quite short it made sense to just do it for 20 minutes and get as many different photos as I could in different positions rather than changing anything.
Christmas TV
If anyone is looking for something cheesy and easy to watch I’d recommend Nailed It Christmas edition on Netflix, complete fluff it is a show about amateur bakers who are shown something to bake and they then attempt to make it and compete against others.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow I am going over my mother’s and spending time with my side of the family and finishing off any decorating that needs doing before the big day!
Check out my previous Christmas photoshoot.
