Baby Elegance Drift 3 in 1 Travel System Review

Baby Car Seat

Finding the right pram or travel system can take a lot of time and research so I’ve done it for you. The requirements I had were:

Needed to fit in a really small car

That I could fold it easily and quickly

That it was light to push and carry

baby car seat with teddy bear

That it was suitable for tall people

Drift by Baby Elegance 3 in 1 travel system met these requirements by far. I have a Hyundai i10 air and it doesn’t have a lot of boot space so finding a pram that could be folded down to a small size was a big requirement.

This folds down so easily, we got the Drift 3 in 1 travel system from Smiths Toys. Smiths has the biggest selection of prams I found in person, every other store we went to had most of there prams online but then you don’t get to test it out yourself. I would highly recommend testing the pram several times in the shop and thinking about what you will be carry and where you will be most of the time.

When we bought the pram home the first thing we did was to practise again how to use the car seat as this was going to be the first task after having the baby to get him home. As you can see we used Teddy bears and anything else around the house to make sure we were both confident in using the car seat.

The car seat actually attaches to a ISOFix base you can keep in your car to just slot it in or as I do you can just wrap the seatbelt around your car seat following the instruction manual. With any car seat practising before you bring home a newborn is so important as you don’t want to be stuck in the hospital car park watching videos on how to do it.

Carry cot with cover in the rain

The carry cot was so useful and easy to use, it has an extendable hood for extra sun cover as well as being really spacious it is easy to clean with a wipe down surface. This was one of the lightest carry cots I found compared to other brands and the easiest to use as you just slot it in the pram and then use the two buttons to lift it out if you want to fold the pram down. It is suitable until the baby is 6 months and is machine washable.

We have been using the pushchair seat as he’s such a tall boy he reached the top of the carry cot just before he was 6 months. The pushchair seat is one of my favourite parts of the travel system as you can use it rear or forward facing. When you are out for the day you can have your baby forward facing to see the world or if you are eating in the park you can have your baby facing you.

The pushchair has 3 positions to recline meaning that your little one can still nap in it if they want to so you don’t miss naptime!

I needed a pram suitable for my height as many prams I tried out were too short for me so they didn’t account for my long legs or arms. The pram has either the normal frame or you can push the button in the handle to extend it, I found having both options useful especially if I’m moving the pram in a tight space in a shop and don’t want to take up much room.

The only improvement I would have to this is that the travel system comes with a pushchair cover, we used this on the carry cot even though it wasn’t an exact fit and it never got wet. As the most affordable and efficient 3 in 1 travel system I’m so happy we went with Drift by Baby Elegance.
